Our son has been attending Shepherd's Hut for a year now and we can't recommend it enough! The staff team did their best to help Hugo settle in and we feel they really go above and beyond with ensuring the children engage in a variety of creative and learning practices, all in a beautiful outdoor setting. The children he meets seem lovely and some of the parents are keen to meet up with their children for playdates. We have no hesitation recommending it and will be sending his younger brother there soon too. I wish places like this existed for primary school too!

I can not recommend this setting highly enough, and my only regret is that I didn’t find The Shepherd’s Hut when my son was younger. Due to Covid, our normal nursery setting stayed closed and having a nearly 5-year-old who is starting school, I needed to find somewhere for him to go.
The staff were 
efficient in getting my son enrolled and helped with everything he started the same week. With everything in place to make the setting a safe environment in these challenging times.
Although very brief, he thoroughly enjoyed his time a The Shepherd’s Hut, he bounces through the gate and came out at the end of the day tired and muddy, with stories of what he’d done and the adventures he had with his new friends.
We shall be booking our son on to next years Holiday Club.

The nursery staff made my 4-year-old son feel welcome and happy from the moment he arrived on his first day. The day is well-structured, and I love the balance between free play (great variety of activities to choose from), and communal times when they eat, sing and chat together. He learnt lots about nature and the environment by harvesting potatoes, digging and having campfires. He went in all sorts of weathers and always had a fantastic time being outside the whole time. All the staff knew who he was after just one session and made me feel like they really got to know him and care for him. He made lovely friends, and at the end of every day, he told me it had been "great"! He is starting school now, but we hope to be back in the holidays.

Both of our children have attended the Shepherds Hut outdoor day nursery and its been absolutely brilliant! Everything about the place is fantastic. The owners are both heavily involved and people you immediately know you can trust your children's wellbeing and development with. They hire fantastic staff and run a brilliant nursery. You can tell that all of the team genuinely care about the children they look after, and the children in turn benefit hugely from the environment. Our youngest is banging on the door at home at 7am desperate to get outside! Could not recommend them highly enough, it's a magical place.

"From walking in to The Shepherd’s Hut outdoor nursery our reserved, quiet  two year old and I were greeted by warm, friendly, and very enthusiastic staff. Without prompting he was immediately immersed in the wonderful  setting, and we have had the joy of seeing him being ‘unfolded’. His  self-esteem has been nurtured and he fills with pride when telling friends and family all about the amazing activities he has completed at ‘school’. I can not recommend highly enough The Shepherds Hut Outdoor Day Nursery. My son’s both came here during the summer holidays for summer camp and loved it. If your son or daughter loves the outdoors, bugs, getting dirty, all weathers and my sons favourite part of the day, the fire pit and marshmallows then this is the place! The staff are fantastic and great with the children.
 

I can't speak highly enough of Shepherd's Hut. My son has been here for a year now and he seems very happy. I always feel really excited to receive pictures of what he gets up to and to speak to the staff at the end of the day. Everyone is lovely and it's a very special place.
